Dr. Edna Magpantay-Monroe EdD, APRN
Dr. Monroe serves her university by being an active role model to her school, community, and most of all, to her students. During her time at Chaminade University, she has served as the Chief Nursing Administrator, president of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Gamma Psi-at-large chapter, adviser/consultant to the State of Hawaii Student Nurses’ Association (HISNA), co-adviser to Chaminade’s The Filipino Club (TFC), mentoring students’ to present their creative work at the Na Liko Psi at large chapter, founding member for Asian American Pacific Islander Nurses Association (AAPINA) Hawaii Chapter, and co-adviser to Chaminade’s Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA – Future Health Professionals), to name a few. She has received multiple honors and awards recognizing her service to the profession of nursing, towards her community, and finally, for her students and mentees alike.

Cathy Parkes "Level Up RN" BSN, RN, CWCN, PHN
Cathy Parkes BSN, RN, CWCN, PHN is the Chief Educator at Level Up RN (www.leveluprn.com) and a part-time wound nurse at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas, CA. She has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and earned her nursing degree from California State University in San Marcos. Cathy has 5 years of nursing experience and was voted "Nurse of the Year" in 2019 at her hospital. She is passionate about nursing education, and is known for her fun and informative videos on YouTube as well as her Level Up RN flashcards. When she isn't making videos and working at the hospital, Cathy loves camping, hiking, puzzling, and traveling.

Ashley Autman Griffin MSN, RN
Ashley “A.G.” Griffin, MSN, RN has been a nurse for 12 years. She is a December 2008 graduate from The University of Southern Mississippi’s School (now College) of Nursing. Her clinical area of expertise is Maternal-Child and she has held nursing positions in almost every area of the specialty, including, but not limited to: NICU, Postpartum, and Pediatrics. In the Fall of 2013, Ashley earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from William Carey University. She was able to utilize this education to transition into the role of Nursing Instructor at a Practical Nursing program in her state. While there, her areas of teaching expertise were Maternal-Child Health, Medical Math, Communication and Culture, and Adult Health. In 2016, she was named Department Chair of the Practical Nursing program, and later served as Director through 2019. Ashley has been an Instructor with Hurst Review Services since 2014, where she teaches the live, online, “N-Stream” reviews, and is an Instructor Trainer. She is also Hurst’s Social Marketing Director, where she creates social media and virtual content and manages the marketing studio. “A.G.” is the creator of NursingForAll.com, a nursing education and lifestyle blog, a musician with Venture Worship, a wife, and mother to her 7-year-old son, Trenton Phillip.

Michelle Moy, BSN, RN, CCRN
Michelle is a graduate from Kapiolani Community College and of the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus; earning her BSN from Manoa. She has been a Registered Nurse for 26 years. After graduation, Michelle worked 1 year at Kuakini Medical Center then moved to The Queen's Medical Center. At QMC, Michelle worked on a medical/surgical unit that focused on GI care. She was there for 3 years before moving to the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Michelle took a break from ICU and worked in Same Day Surgery for 3 years; then returned to the ICU. Michelle has been an ICU nurse for a total of 20 years. Michelle received the QMC Nursing Excellence Award for Performance Improvement in 2016 for her work on Moral Distress.
Eileen Wong, BSN, RN, CCRN, CN4
Eileen is a BSN graduate from the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. She has been a Registered Nurse for 28 years, and counting. All of her nursing experience has been at The Queen's Medical Center, with the exception of a 6-month travel assignment at The University of California-San Francisco hospital, Parnassus Heights campus. Eileen began her nursing career on a long-term ventilator unit, then moved to a medical/surgical unit with a focus on pediatrics, plastics (breast reconstruction and flaps), and urology. After 5 years on the med/surg unit, Eileen applied for the ICU class, choosing the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Eileen is a recipient of the 2015 American Association of Critical-care Nurses (AACN) Circle of Excellence Award and a recipient of QMC's Nursing Excellence Award in Leadership in 2015 for her work with bringing the AACN Beacon Award to the SICU - the first unit in the State of Hawaii to achieve this national recognition. Eileen has participated in poster and podium presentations, at national and local conferences.
Sherwin Alop BSN, RN, CCRN
Sherwin Alop graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BSN degree in 2008, after completing an ADN degree at Kapiolani Community College in 1998. He is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, ATLS, TCAR/PCAR and CCRN
Sherwin has been a RN at Queen’s Medical Center Rapid Response Team (RRT) Department for the last 14 years and at Pali Momi Medical Center Emergency Department as a staff nurse for the last 11 years. His current role includes working with patients with acute and critical multi-system derangements from initial triage and assessment, initial stabilization and treatment, hospital admission, transfer to higher level of care, cardiac arrest and post-cardiac arrest care. Sherwin has previously worked in the QMC Surgical (Trauma Intensive Care Unit) for 5 years, AirMed as Flight Nurse for 2 years, and the QMC Acute Medical-Surgical Unit in Adult urology, cardio-thoracic, plastics and pediatric trauma for 5 years.
Since 2012, Sherwin has been with Aloha Medical Mission, in an overseas surgical mission in Nepal volunteering as a RN in Pre-Op, PACU, Post-Op, and Minor Procedures Outpatient Departments.
Additionally, he is a Primary Investigator for Skin Tissue Oxygenation research study at the QMC in the Rapid Response Population and previous role as Clinical Ladder III RN in the SICU and Clinical Ladder IV RN in RRT.
He is an active volunteer board member of the Hawaiian Islands Chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and held previous roles of Webmaster, Secretary, Treasurer, President and is the current Membership Chair.
